Welcome to the Department of Nursing (DON) Pre-Licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Admissions Information Page
Please note that the Pre-Licensure BSN program is an impacted program. As an impacted, highly competitive program, admission to the Pre-Licensure BSN program is a 2-step process.
1.) Fall admission to CSUSB as a Pre-Nursing major.
Due to impaction, students can only be admitted to Pre-Nursing during CSUSB Fall Admission.

2.) Completion of the Pre-Licensure BSN online application during valid application periods (see below).
The CSUSB Spring 2027 Pre-Licensure BSN application opened on Thursday June 11, 2026, and will close on Tuesday July 17, 2026 @ 5PM (PST).
Post-Bac applicants will submit their application using the steps specified in the Application Process for Post-Bac Applicants.
All applicants, please prepare the following information to submit your application:
- The date you attended a a valid information session (see valid dates in the table below).
- Failure to attend an information session between the valid dates will result in your application immediately being ineligible.
- Information and grades for all prerequisite courses and PSYC 2201
- Completed your TEAS between the acceptable period (listed in the table below), and ensured you requested your TEAS results be sent directly to us by ATI. Must be done by deadlines posted below.
- Failure to send all TEAS scores from ATI directly to the department will result in your application immediately being ineligible.
- Have a copy of your TEAS Transcript Report available to attach to application (Example TEAS Transcript Report)
- Failure to attach the correct TEAS Transcript Report will result in your application immediately being ineligible.
- If you are including bilingual proficiency on your application, you MUST attach valid documentation to receive credit.

- The application will close on Tuesday July 17, 2026 @ 5PM (PST).
- Remember that there is a limit of 3 application attempts to the PL-BSN program. So, if you have already met this limit, you will NOT be able to complete an application.
- Select the link below to access the application. When prompted, sign in with your CSUSB credentials.
- Once signed in, some information will auto load. DO NOT MODIFY THIS INFO. The email showed is your CSUSB Student email which can be accessed through MyCoyote.
- When attaching documents, it may say (Pending). That means your document will be uploaded once you submit your application. You do not have to wait for the (Pending) to go away before you submit.
- After submission you will receive a confirmation email to your CSUSB STUDENT EMAIL. If you DO NOT receive a confirmation email to your CSUSB STUDENT EMAIL, please contact our IT Consultant at sonia.perezgamboa@csusb.edu, or (909)537-3599.
- Application decisions will be sent to CSUSB STUDENT EMAILS, not personal emails.

Admission requirements and the application process will differ depending on whether applicants are current CSUSB Pre-Nursing students, transfer students, or post-baccalaureate (post-bac) students.
