The public affairs office is the university’s
gateway for communicating with the public
Public affairs staff members work
regularly with the news media to help inform the
public about every aspect of Cal State San Bernardino,
making sure that the university, its programs,
students, faculty and staff are portrayed accurately
and fairly. We also work with the news media to
inform the public about the university’s
programs and the work of its students and experts
– and how those help contribute to the well-being
and better understanding of not only the region,
but of the world as well.
We monitor CSUSB’s graphic
identity so that it is consistent in advertising,
publications and other printed or visual materials
that promote the university. In all cases, we
are stewards of the university “brand,”
which identifies Cal State San Bernardino.
We work with the campus community
to help communicate messages and provide the campus
with information as to what is being said about
the university.
Media
Relations
The public affairs office is the
first stop for media requesting information from
or about Cal State San Bernardino. We provide
full service support to the media, including news
releases, statistics, background information,
contact information, interviews, photographs and
artwork. We are happy to arrange interviews with
key campus personnel and direct media to the appropriate
faculty expert, when needed.
Campus
Public Relations Support
The public affairs office is available
to assist university departments and programs
publicize their events and achievements. We are
happy to provide consultation on effective public
relations options. Please contact the public affairs
department for more information.
Publications
and Graphic Design
The public affairs graphic designers
help produce publications supporting campus departments
and events, including the CSUSB News Web site,
viewbook, the alumni magazine, various college
and department newsletters, program brochures,
event programs and other promotional materials.
The publications team is available to provide
consultation on production options, as well as
