SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Cal State San Bernardino will open its arms to high school and community college students considering attending the university in the future.

Potential CSUSB students are invited to get a first-hand look at the campus, meet faculty and staff members, tour the campus and talk with admissions counselors when the university hosts its annual open house on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Prospective students, their families and the community are invited to learn about the university, its academic and other programs, financial aid opportunities, and to meet with faculty from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the CSUSB Santos Manuel Student Union.

The open house will be held during the California State University's priority application period, which continues through Nov. 30. Students interested in attending Cal State San Bernardino in 2010-2011 should apply during this period to afford a better opportunity to gain fall 2010 admission.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet with faculty from the university's five academic colleges and attend a series of workshops on admissions, financial aid, support programs and student development.

In addition, attendees can take tours of the campus, interact with representatives from student clubs and organizations on campus and meet with current CSUSB students.

To make reservations (before Oct. 21) and for additional information, contact the university's Office of Admissions and Student Recruitment at (909) 537-5188 or e-mail asrevents@csusb.edu.

Admission is free, and there is no charge to park in lot D on the day of the event.
