TODAY: Emergency Expo to be held at CSUSB

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Capping off a day in which the entire campus community will participate in an exercise to prepare for a massive earthquake, Cal State San Bernardino will host an Emergency Management Expo on campus in front of the Pfau Library today, Thursday, Oct. 15, from 1-5 p.m.

Local first responders representing police, fire, EMS and public health will participate, along with the American Red Cross and a number of emergency preparedness vendors, with demonstrations, exhibits, information and products.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking at the university is $5.

Among the organizations scheduled to participate are:

• the Cal State San Bernardino University Police,
• San Bernardino Police Department,
• San Bernardino Fire Department,
• American Medical Response,
• San Bernardino Public Safety Academy,
• Cal Fire,
• San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department,
• San Bernardino County Fire Department,
• Cal State Northridge,
• U.S. Department of Forestry,
• San Manuel Band of Mission Indians,
• American Red Cross and the
• San Bernardino County Department of Public Health.

Vendors scheduled to participate include Grainger, Zimek Systems, Simpler Life Emergency Provisions, Emergency Disaster Systems, SOS Survival Products, Emergency Lifeline, Quake Kare and Stater Bros. Markets.
