Tuesday: CSUSB women's business center offers workshop for Quickbooks accounting software

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Cal State San Bernardino's Inland Empire Women's Business Center will hold a workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to help business owners establish their accounting system using QuickBooks accounting software.

The workshop will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the center's office, 202 East Airport Drive, Suite 155, in San Bernardino. The cost is $15 if preregistered online or $20 at the door.

Attendees will be introduced to the QuickBooks 2009 program. The course will be taught by certified public accountant Beth Bockenhauer and will cover day-to-day business bookkeeping functions, including invoicing, purchasing and banking.

The Inland Empire Women's Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The IEWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for and targeted to women business owners.

The program provides targeted services to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women-owned businesses in the country, by providing services in English and Spanish.

The Inland Empire Women's Business Center's hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center also has a part-time outreach office in Corona, where it meets clients by appointment only on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
