PALM DESERT, Calif. - The College of Extended Learning at Cal State San Bernardino's Palm Desert Campus has added three new green certificate programs to its fall 2009 course offerings. The certificate programs include green building construction, green energy management and sustainable practices. Each program consists of five courses that can either be taken individually or in combination to earn a certificate in a specific area of emerging green industries. "The timing for these types of courses makes them a great option for folks who are looking for new career pathways, either because of job layoffs, or due to slowdowns in their current industry," said Steve McAdams, program administrator at Cal State San Bernardino's Palm Desert Campus. "These courses will have a very broad appeal to people who want to increase marketability in their current careers, or those who want to be at the forefront of the growing trend toward green-related businesses," McAdams said. More information and course catalogs are available by calling the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus College of Extended Learning at (760) 341-2883, ext. 14428, by e-mailing mcadamss@csusb.edu or by visiting cel.csusb.edu. Fall registrations are currently being accepted.
