Faculty in the News: CSUSB professor comments on top Trump aide being linked to Nazi group

Slate – In an article on Sebastian Gorka, President Trump’s top counterterrorism adviser, and how he has flirted with fascism and may have links to a far-right Hungarian group, the Vitézi Rend, which the U.S. State Department classifies as having been “under the direction of the Nazi Government of Germany” during World War II, Brian Levin, a CSUSB professor of criminal justice and director the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, is quoted.

This is really serious,” says Levin. “When groups that we monitor start showing up, not on extremist webpages or at Nazi rallies, but within the highest echelons of government, it’s extraordinarily disturbing.”
