Daily Press — As a lifelong softball fan, the greatest gift Jeanne Williams could have received was the knowledge that she helped a rising player reach their goals.
Williams, a longtime Apple Valley resident and mother of Cal State San Bernardino softball player Cassandra Williams, recently lost her life to breast cancer after a four-year fight, but not before she created a scholarship fund for softball students at CSUSB. The Jeanne Williams and Family Fund was established last year by Jeanne and her husband, Douglas, to award a CSUSB softball player with a perpetual scholarship each year.
