Fontana Herald News — To help Latino and African American students navigate the school system and to motivate them by exposing them to life on campus, Cal State San Bernardino held the Black and Brown Conference at the Santos Manuel Events Center on Oct. 23.
Titled “Together We Thrive,” the one-day conference brought together about 375 students from several districts in the region, including more than 80 students from the Fontana Unified School District. They learned about the academic opportunities provided by CSUSB and other institutions and about how to become better persons.
