The Sun — A drum line led the procession of soon-to-be college graduates into a gymnasium where friends and family provided a standing ovation Sunday, their claps amplifying the beat.
Approximately 110 graduating Cal State San Bernardino students were honored at the college’s Coussoulis Arena during the 12th annual black graduation commencement recognition ceremony Sunday afternoon.
The event allowed students’ families and friends to celebrate with them a week before the college’s commencement ceremony. A similar event was held Saturday for Latino and indigenous students.
