From autism to cancer

     

Bioscience Technology — Muriel Makamure, a 2013 graduate of Cal State San Bernardino in nursing, is mentioned in an article about a research program offered every summer by the Harvard Catalyst Program.

Makamure was a 2011 participant in the Summer Clinical and Translational Research Program and discovered bioinformatics after using many Harvard Catalyst resources. She is currently in a nurse residency program at UC Irvine Medical Center where she is working on a project using translational research in a burn unit.

Not mentioned in the article: Makamure was the 2013 outstanding undergraduate student in the College of Natural Sciences.
