CSUSB hands No. 5 Western Washington its first loss of the season

     

The Bellingham (Wash.) Herald — Despite getting a career and game-high 30 points from guard Richard Woodworth, 24 in the second half, nationally ranked Western Washington University suffered its first loss, 99-91 to Cal State San Bernardino in men’s basketball action Saturday at the 2013 South Point Holiday Hoops Classic being held at The Arena at South Point.

The Vikings, ranked No.5 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches/NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll, fell to 8-1. The game was their first on the road this season.

CSUSB improved to 6-1 with its sixth straight victory. The Coyotes were led by the 24 points of 6-foot-8 forward Andrew Young, a transfer from NCAA Division I Texas A and M.
