Along with meetings with individual groups and a campus tour, White will host an open forum with students, faculty and staff from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, in the Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center, to discuss the current state and future of the CSU.

The California State University Board of Trustees in October 2012 selected White to serve as the seventh chancellor to lead the 23-campus CSU system, the largest four-year public higher education system in the country.

Beginning in 2008 until his CSU appointment, Chancellor White previously served as chancellor of the University of California, Riverside.

He officially succeeded previous CSU Chancellor Charles B. Reed in December 2012.
