The Desert Sun — Arlene Reed, director of admissions for Cal State San Bernardino, is quoted in an article about Coachella Valley high schools having above average graduation rates when compared to the rest of the state, yet a lower percentage of those graduates are eligible to attend a four-year college.
Reed said most of the Coachella Valley graduates who apply to CSUSB are eligible, but it receives far fewer of these applicants than it would expect. That could change as a result of the Cal State San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus, which will start its first freshman class in the fall, Reed said.
The article was published April 7, 2013.
