The Press-Enterprise — The Air Force has joined the Army and Marines in suspending its tuition assistance program for military personnel. The move is a result of sequestration cuts that went into effect March 1.
The benefit is available to active duty and reserve personnel who are remaining in the service at least until the end of the class or classes they are using the assistance for. The decision does not affect GI benefits.
At Cal State San Bernardino, spokesman Joe Gutierrez said 21 students currently receive the assistance.
