Times Standard — Like a winter cough or cold, poor shooting can be contagious. Both the Humboldt State University and Cal State San Bernardino women’s basketball teams were afflicted Thursday evening, making just 25 percent of their field goal attempts.
The Coyotes, despite shooting an arctic 11 percent (3 of 27) from the floor and scoring just 13 points in the second half, as well as committing two turnovers in the final minute, managed to pull out a 42-41 win over the Lady Jacks.
