San Francisco Chronicle — A University of California chancellor will become the new leader of the 23-campus California State University system, CSU trustees said Thursday.
Timothy White, 63, has been chancellor of UC Riverside since 2008. He will become the CSU system’s seventh chancellor when he takes over at the end of December for retiring Chancellor Charles Reed.
“We searched far and wide,” said Trustee Bill Hauck. “We have arrived at a conclusion that is going to work very well for the California State University system.”
