Last-minute hiring of instructors hurts colleges

     

The Press-Enterprise — Leslie Bryan, a professor of dance at Cal State San Bernardino and the California Faculty Association’s associate vice president for lecturers-south, wrote an opinion piece on the last-minute hiring of college instructors.

Press-EnterpriseShe wrote that a recent report on a survey about the hiring conditions experienced by 500 contingent faculty at colleges and universities nationwide points to negative impacts of “just-in-time” hiring of facutly on students.
