Smith averaged 10.14 assists/set as the Coyotes defeated conference leaders, San Francisco State and No. Sonoma State in a combined seven sets.

In the Coyotes win over the Gators, the senior setter recorded 38 assists with 11 digs. Smith wrapped up the weekend with 33 assists and 10 digs in the Coyotes sweeping win against the nationally rank Seawolves.

Offensively, Smith was 8-for-17 in attacks for a .471 average and tallied three service aces on the weekend. She also assisted defensively at the net with five total blocks, one solo and four block assists.

Smith will lead the Coyotes again this weekend when CSUSB hosts two home matches.

A scheduling commitment for the annual San Manuel Pow Wow, held on the campus of Cal State San Bernardino, has prompted the change in venues for the CSUSB volleyball team’s matches against Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay this weekend.

Due to rain that is expected to hit Southern California, the Pow Wow that is normally held on the athletics field will be moved inside Coussoulis.

The two volleyball matches will be held in The Den, located directly across from Coussoulis Arena. The Coyotes take on Cal State East Bay at 7 p.m. Friday and face Cal State Monterey Bay at 5 p.m. Saturday.
