KPCC — California State University campuses are trying to spread the word on why voters should say βYesβ to Proposition 30 β a measure that raises taxes to prevent further state cuts to education.
If the measure passes, CSU students, including those at Cal State San Bernardino, can expect a $249 check in the mail β a refund of a new tuition fee already in place in response to a bill the legislature and governor approved as part of the state budget. However, its failure would mean an additional $250 million budget cut to the CSUs.
