The Sun — A weekly college sports roundup column notes the unusual start for the Cal State San Bernardino men’s soccer team: The Coyotes have played six games, five of which have been double-overtime ties. Three of those were scoreless double-overtime stalemates and the other two were 1-1 draws.
Also noted are the CSUSB women’s volleyball team, which dropped out of the American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll this week after splitting its two CCAA matches over the weekend, and the women’s soccer team, which is second in the CCAA’s South Division at 4-1-1 overall and 3-1 in conference, behind UC San Diego.
The article was published Sept. 18, 2012, and a variation of it appeared in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
