Morales begins term at Cal State San Bernardino

     

The Press-Enterprise — Newly arrived Cal State San Bernardino President Tomás Morales isn’t getting a lot of time to settle into his new position.

Press-EnterpriseThe November election, and with it the tax initiatives that will greatly impact public education funding, is looming.

Morales, who started his new job Aug. 15, took over from retiring President Albert Karnig, who led the campus for 15 years. Morales came from Staten Island College in New York, where he spent five years as president. A native of New York, he is the San Bernardino campus’s fourth president and its first Latino leader.
