After shooting, searching for clues in the music of hate

     

The New York Times — Brian Levin, a criminal justice professor at California State University, San Bernardino who is an The New York Timesexpert on hate groups and director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, is quoted in an article that examines the “hate music” links to white supremacist groups and the Aug. 6 mass shooting at a Sikh temple near Milwaukee, Wis.

The alleged shooter, Wade Michael Page, who killed himself according to FBI, was a musician for several bands that performed hate music.
