Daily News (Los Angeles) — To help UCLA on its way, head football coach Jim Mora moved the team’s training camp, beginning Aug. 4, from Spaulding Field on the team’s campus to Cal State San Bernardino. He dismissed the notion of the camp being a grueling, sweltering, “Junction Boys”-style affair and insisted he simply wants the players to be focused on football and team bonding.
“Coach is here instilling in us that we need to be accountable to ourselves and our teammates, and that’s something we might have been lacking over the previous years,” said sophomore safety Tevin McDonald, who represented UCLA at Tuesday’s Pac-12 media day along with senior running back Johnathan Franklin.
