TODAY: Livin’ on a Prayer opens CSUSB’s Summer Wednesdays music series


Considered one of the best tribute artists in rock, Eric Sage leads his band, Livin’ on a Prayer, as it opens Cal State San Bernardino’s Summer Wednesdays concert series July 11.

A Bon Jovi tribute band, Livin’ on a Prayer will make its way to CSUSB after a long stint inLas Vegas. The band will rock the university’s Lower Commons Plaza with covers of signature hits such as “Wanted Dead or Alive” and “It’s My Life.” Besides its run in Vegas, Livin’ on a Prayer has performed in San Diego and Ontario, Canada, among numerous other locations.

On July 18, Summer Wednesdays features L.A. Vation, a U2 tribute band. July 25 brings the greatest hits of Pink Floyd when Shine On performs.

The Latin Society makes its annual popular appearance in the music series when it performs Aug. 1.

Closing the series will be the winner of Cal State San Bernardino’s local version of “Battleof the Bands,” sponsored by the university’s Coyote Radio. The winner of that contest performs Aug. 8.

All Summer Wednesdays concerts begin at 7 p.m. The shows are free as is parking in Lot D. Music fans are invited to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends and enjoy the music under the stars.
