Books tell stories of Mexican-American baseball in the San Gabriel Valley and beyond

     

Inland Valley Daily Bulletin — Richard Santillan, professor emeritus of ethnic and women’s studies at Cal Poly Pomona and one of dailybulletinthree authors of the book “Mexican American Baseball in the Inland Empire,” was recently at a book signing at the El Monte Public Library sponsored by the Latino Baseball History Project, which is housed at California State University, San Bernardino.

Not mentioned in the article: The Latino Baseball History Project will host its fourth reunion, with a book signing, at Cal State San Bernardino on Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Obershaw Dining Room in the university’s Upper Commons. The event is free and open to the public.
