Two CSUSB students to fill top CSSA executive posts

     

Two students from Cal State San Bernardino will fill the top positions of the statewide California State Student Association executive board for 2012-2013.

CSUSB student David Allison has been elected president of CSSA, while Aaron Jimenez will serve as chair of the board.

Both served in student leadership positions at Cal State San Bernardino in 2011-2012. Jimenez was president of Associated Students Inc., while Allison was chair of the Santos Manuel Student Union Board of Directors.

Both were elected to the CSSA executive board in a system-wide vote of members from the 23 CSU campuses. The election took place June 17 at Cal State Monterey Bay. The 2012-2013 executive officers will begin their terms on July 1 and continue through June 30, 2013.

Joining Allison and Jimenez as executive officers are Pedro Ramirez from Cal State Long Beach as vice president of legislative affairs and Scott Silviera from Cal State San Marcos as vice president of university affairs.

The board will elect an additional executive officer, the vice president of finance, at its July 14 meeting at the Chancellor’s Office in Long Beach.
