Pride Center presents performance, workshop on transgender

     

The Santos Manuel Student Union’s Pride Center at Cal State San Bernardino, will feature the presentation, “Allusion/Illusion: A Day with Rebecca Kling,” on Wednesday, April 25, at the student union.

The Santos Manuel Student Union’s Pride Center at Cal State San Bernardino, will feature the presentation, 'Allusion/Illusion: A Day with Rebecca Kling,' on Wednesday, April 25, at the student union.

The “Trans 101” workshop will take place from noon-1 p.m., in the SMSU’s Fourplex rooms 215-218. The performance will be held from 4-5 p.m. in the SMSU Theater. The events are free and open to the public and campus community. Parking at the university is $5 per vehicle.

A Chicago-based artist, Kling is a transgendered performer who explores identity, gender and self-expression while addressing issues of trans-phobia and hetero-normativity in our society.

Through a multimedia production composed of storytelling, video and movement, she shares her own experiences to educate and advocate for the transgendered community.
