New York percussion duo, Loop 2.4.3, comes to Cal State San Bernardino when Music Tuesdays hosts the group Tuesday, April 24, at noon in the Performing Arts Recital Hall.
Loop’s appearance is part of the group’s “American Dreamland” album release tour.
The duo stops in San Bernardino to showcase its new music with a wide assortment of percussion instruments, such as steel drums, marimba, electro acoustic inventions, Native American flute and vocals.
Loop 2.4.3, founded by Clogs’ percussionist Thomas Kozumplik, featuring multi-instrumentalist Lorne Watson, will release its third full-length album this spring.
The group’s third album is based on Loop 2.4.3’s experiences, journeying through different deep emotions. It is a portrait of the cultural hodgepodge of American heritage. The duo’s music draws out a wide range of written and improvised styles, yet resists genre-specific expectations or limitations.
Admission is free to the Loop 2.4.3 performance. Parking is $5 per vehicle. For more information, call the CSUSB music department box office at (909) 537-7516.
